AMSN HAS A FEW MORE SEATS OPEN. WE ARE LOOKING FOR BEDSIDE NURSES TO HAVE A VOICE AT THE STATE LEVEL ON NEXT TUESDAY, JAN 29TH.

PLEASE COME IF YOU CAN!

Please join the members of the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses, Greater Boston Chapter in attending a Nursing Summit on Tuesday, January 29th.

The purpose of the summit is to improve patient and nursing care in Massachusetts and it is open to professional nursing organizations, academia, and healthcare organizations.

It is important for bedside, med-surg nurses to have a voice at in this statewide initiative where nurses will determine how nursing practice is governed. AMSN has been asked to have nurses attend.

The goals for the meetings are to:

  • align the nursing community following the 2018 Ballot Campaign
  • explore safe staffing strategies with staff nurses
  • develop a consensus document to guide future work
  • create a plan for next steps

The meeting will be a combination of table top and group activities to guide the development of strategies to address opportunities for improvement that were highlighted during the campaign.
